I’m totally reminiscing right now of my daughter’s toddler days. Especially since I got sent these cute plates from Oogaa Baby! My first time winning something on Instagram! Aren’t they so cute?? So today, I decided to make my daughter a simple toddler breakfast. Haha. And she loved it.
These plates are actually perfect for her because she’s not a fan of her food touching (god forbid) the egg touches the pomegranates. Sigh. But I love that they are BPA and PVC free, non-toxic, and you can even bake with it in the oven. I cut her toast into star shapes, gave her a side of juicy pomegranates and a perfectly cooked over easy egg.
(for your convenience, affiliate link:)
She loves dipping her toast into the yolk. Which by the way, is the only way she likes to eat her yolk. To cut out the stars, I used a star shaped fruit and vegetable cutter.
As for the egg, I love to cook our eggs on our little 5 inch cast iron pan. Heat a little olive oil a little under medium. And then carefully crack an egg while pan is hot. Let it cook for about 4 minutes. Then flip with a spatula carefully, and cook for another minute. The perfect over-easy egg. If you want the egg cooked all the way, let it cook for an extra minute or two until fully cooked through.
Oooh, I also won this cute stainless steel flatware from Delight Flatware, which my daughter also loves. And if you want to get the divided silicone plates, you can find them here.
I’m thinking, I’m not just reminiscing, but totally having baby fever all over again. My little girl is growing up too quickly! *crying
