My daughter and I, have certain rituals before bedtime. As most people do. Besides the usual, no more snacks, ya should have eaten your dinner, go brush teeth, go brush teeth, go BRUSH TEETH, put on your pajamas, pajamas, PA–! Get in bed, I said – BED…! We do eventually get to the reading stories, giggling, cuddling and talking about our day… Somedays we even bust out our pencil crayons and color together in those relaxing color therapy books. But lately, we started a new thing where we like to make necklaces and bracelets with beads and string. It’s actually really calming and a peaceful activity before bedtime. And a special bonding moment, also.
Since we were quickly running out of beads, I searched online and came across these colorful fruit beads. I thought they would make the cutest summery little necklaces.
I already had some string on hand.
And my daughter and I, lay on the bed and beaded necklaces together every night before bedtime.
I tied a knot at the end of each last bead so it can’t move, and on each end of the string to make it adjustable. Click here to see how I did it on another one of my necklace posts.
We actually ended up liking them so much we decided to package them up for my daughter’s annual school fundraiser at school.

I just bought some clear goody bags, and blank stickers, and packaged them up. So cute.
So fun! And summery!
